What are some good places in Melbourne?
March 31, 2009 - My friends and i are going to melbourne, aus in 6 months.
can anyone tell me of any good nightclubs, bars, restaurants or youthy type of places.
we are 18-19.
Also any nice, cheap accomodation recommendations. We are look at staying somewhere in the CBD so we are close to everything.

like casuist said the hotel on king's street and it's pretty cheap and you should also go to the yarra river for a beautiful evening! and for dining Fitzroy it's filled with reasturants and trendy one's too and prahran is a great shopping place and have a great time while your there i wish you a good time tell your friends too lol....have a good time there! (^-^).

crown casino entertainment complex Chasers nightclub in Chapel street Prahran Ice bar- a bar made of ice (not sure where it is but you can search on the net) Lygon street- has some good restaurants and heaps of young people go there Love Machine- Nightclub Alumbra night club/bar at Docklands Platform one night club Area 61 nightclub search on the net for the addresses
- make sure you go to "The Edge" - its the highest vantage point in the Southern Hemisphere and has a clear-bottomed compartment that hands out the side of the building :)
- There's a hotel on king st that's cheap. Or you could try the backpackers along chapel. As for fun places to go I wouldn't know I flew there recently to see a Nick Cave show. Then spent the rest of my time looking at art.
