September 4, 2008 - My friends and I want to get away for the weekend, TOO MUCH STUFF GOING ON. We're not exacrlty LOADED SO can anyone suggest a cheap hotel for one night? Somewhere in Melbourne. NOT TOO DODGY
OR MOTELS because apparently they're cheaper
- Look at Mantra 31 City Rd Southbank. Other bet is the Great Northern in the CBD. Both are pretty cheap.

Try http www.wotif.com they have cheaper than normal accommodation two weeks in advance possibly more but it isn t as cheap if you book a long time in advance. they even have like mystery packages where the really good hotels put rooms up really cheap but wont tell you which one it is just the facilities and the area it is in. CHECK IT OUT

Yes it may be a little bit more than you wanted to pay buut when you get a fully cooked breakfast and a three course dinner included for both of you and 175 is all you pay for the two of you... you can t really say that isn t worth it. If that is too expensive, sign up anyway because there is loads of cheaper deals which give you meals, massages or spa baths included.
I m telling you without a doubt I checked around and around and found nothing in the CBD cheaper than the MIAMI HOTEL. We stayed there for 2 weeks while looking for a place. We spent a night in a hostel... and you don t want to go down that route. The Miami is cheap and very accessible. It is in the north of the CBD. It s like 80 for a private bathroom, or cheaper for a shared. While we were there it was being renovated so I m sure it is nice now. Trust me stay there
